Making Waves is an informal STEM + Music class developed over several years through a collaboration with the College of Engineering at the University of Notre Dame and Third Coast Percussion, a Grammy-winning quartet from Chicago. To learn more about the program and our recent work, see this short video featuring some of the students that we worked with this past fall in Elkhart, IN.
In a Making Wave’s online course students will learn about the science behind sound, build their own instruments, and compose their own original music. Each course includes 8, one-hour long class sessions taught by an experienced music instructor, as well as an instrument building kit.
